Kyoto local | Mom of two
I'm a Kyoto local, a mother of two young children, and someone who has spent many years welcoming visitors to Japan through travel businesses.
After becoming a parent, I began experiencing Kyoto in a completely different way. I found myself asking different questions:
Is this place stroller-friendly?
Will my children actually enjoy this?
Where can we take a break, have a snack, or simply let the kids run around?
I realized that families need more than sightseeing recommendations. They need trusted guidance, practical information, and reassurance that traveling in Japan with children can be both manageable and magical.
I created this space to be the resource I wish I'd had (even as a local!) when planning family adventures in Kyoto.
My hope is to help families experience the beauty of Japan with confidence, connection, and curiosity by sharing family-tested recommendations, local insights, and meaningful experiences that make exploring Japan with children easier, more enjoyable, and less overwhelming.
